Previously ExAnimation, The Young Ones is a new national competition for young animators. Entry is in the following categories: 7 – 11 yr olds, 12 – 18 yr olds, either as individuals or schools & groups.
Deadline for entry is 2nd January 2012. Selection will take place during January and details of the Festival screenings and Awards Ceremonies will be posted with the festival programme, in December.

- Schools & groups 5 Flip Boom All-Star licenses
- Individual: 1 Flip Boom All-Star license
::12-18 years old category::
- Schools & groups: 5 Toon Boom Studio licenses
- Individual: 1 Toon Boom Studio license
We also have £50 iTunes Voucher + Kudlian Animation Studio for the individual winner in each age category.
